Club President Holiday Message

Message from Lion Brian -

Thank you to all the club members who took a little time out of their schedule on Saturday, December 3rd. We collected $157.40 for the Salvation Army, which is a solid amount.

Don't forget to attend the Lions Club Holiday Party on Tuesday December 13th. Social time starts at 5:30 with dinner right around 6:00.

Also, the All Service Club Luncheon will be held Monday December 12th.

Please remember in your holiday prayers Lion Rich Montgomery who will be having back surgery the morning or 12/12 in Clearwater FL.

I look forward to seeing everyone soon.

It's Brat Time Again!

Remember how good a grilled brat tastes on a cool fall day? Remember the guys in the Lions Club who served you?
Master griller Lion Dennis Zimmerman grilled brats just right in 2013

Freeport Lions Club will be serving brats, hot dogs, hamburgers and steak sandwiches to hungry shoppers in front of Cub Foods on October 23rd and 24th, 2015.
2013 chow-hounds Lions Bert Kersten, Darla VanBuskirk and Rich Montgomery

Community service organizations like Lions Club put their names in the Cub Foods chef’s hat to be able to raise funds for charitable causes by selling sandwiches in front of the store for a couple of days during the spring, summer and fall. When an organization’s name gets chosen, its volunteers get busy preparing to serve you some of the area’s best-known fares. Fresh-grilled meats.
Stop by on 10/23/and 10/24 and share a story or a joke with us.
Bring your shopping list and a big appetite!

Roses as Treats

Want a nice treat on Halloween?

Freeport Lions Club designated October 31, 2015, as its popular Rose Day for delivery of roses according to Lion Joe Serafini, Rose Day Chairman and Club Secretary. Like last year, a donation of $18 gets 12 roses delivered to the person or persons of your choice. A variety of favorite colors such as white, red, yellow and peach are available. Lion Serafini orders hundreds of dozens of roses based on the previous year's donations. 2014 was a good year because people ordered roses for spouses, staffs at nursing homes, office secretaries, city clerks, bosses, and good friends.

Print and complete the coupon below or call any of the Freeport Lions to place your order.
